How Important Is A Name To YHWH?

Ezekiel 18:23  “Have I any pleasure in the death of the wrong?”, declares the Master YHWH.
“Is it not that he should turn from his ways (repent), and live?”

If you put yourself in the position of YHWH that clearly states that He loves life and would prefer everyone to repent, would you hide the “way to repent” in metaphors, shadow pictures and try to trick everyone out of salvation? Even though “salvation” is NOT what everyone thought it to be, YHWH never even mentioned the supposedly most important person of all time “Jesus” whom everyone desperately needs?

Strangely we find, contrary to Christian philosophy and speculation, that names were extremely important right through the Old Testament and Jesus would have been mentioned BY NAME from very early in Scripture to make sure that nobody can point a finger and say “we have never been told about him”!

Let’s look at these verses:

Genesis 12:2  And I will make of you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great; and you will be a blessing.

Genesis 12:8  And he moved from there to a mountain on the east of Bethel, and stretched his tent with Bethel toward the sea, and Ai on the east. And he built an altar there to YHWH, and called on the name of YHWH.

Genesis 16:11  And the Messenger of YHWH said to her, Behold! You are with child and shall bear a son; and you shall call his name Ishmael, because YHWH has listened to your affliction.

Genesis 16:13  And she called the name of YHWH, the One speaking to her, You, a Ěl of vision! For she said, Even here have I looked after the One seeing me?

Genesis 17:5  And your name no longer shall be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham. For I have made you a father of many nations.

Genesis 17:15  And Elohim said to Abraham, You shall not call your wife Sarai by her name Sarai, for Sarah shall be her name;

Genesis 32:29  And Jacob asked and said, Please reveal Your name. And He said, Why is it that you ask about My name? And He blessed him there.

Genesis 35:10  And Elohim said to him, Your name is Jacob; your name will not anymore be called Jacob, but Israel will be your name. And He called his name Israel.

Exodus 3:15  And Elohim said to Moses again, You shall say this to the sons of Israel, YHWH, the Elohe of your fathers, the Elohe of Abraham, the Elohe of Isaac, and the Elohe of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is how I should be remembered from generation to generation.

Exodus 9:16  And for this reason I have made you stand, in order to cause you to see My power, and in order to declare My name in all the land.

Exodus 15:3  YHWH is a Man of war; YHWH is His name.

Exodus 20:7  You shall not take the name of YHWH your Elohim in vain; for YHWH will not leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain.

Exodus 20:24  You shall make an altar of earth for Me, and you shall sacrifice your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on it, your sheep and your cattle. In every place in which I bring to memory My name, and I will come to you and I will bless you.

Exodus 23:13  And be watchful in all that I have said to you. And you shall not call upon another Elohim by name; it shall not be heard from your mouth.

Exodus 33:17  And YHWH said to Moses, This thing which you have spoken I will do. For you have found favor in My eyes, and I know you by name.

The list of verses that point to the importance of a name is much longer than what I am showing here.

It is with 100% certainty that we can derive from these verses that if Jesus / Yahshua / Christ or whatever other name you may have for the supposed “son of God” were real, the name would have been all over for everyone to see. It would have been the most obvious, straight forward, factual and plainly visible story in the Bible. What do we find however? Only speculation, shadow pictures, highly controversial “dual” prophecies, conjecture and misinterpretations with lots of flaws an discrepancies to try and prove the validity and deity of Jesus.

Everyone is allowed to believe what ever they want, but that does not make anything true. You can believe in Jesus just because so many other people do, but that does not make it true either. Just like the whole Germany fell for Hitler’s indoctrination and they all followed suit, did not make Hitler’s philosophy true. Thus truth can NEVER be measured against numbers. It is measured against visible, tangible, hard evidence as we can find in the discovery of the Exodus route from Egypt to Midian with all the matching artifacts and place names that prove the Tanakh. Just another reason why NAMES are so important.

I hope that this shed some light on the dark subject of the Importance of a NAME.

May you be blessed in your walk in search for the Truth!
